In today’s article, we are looking at everything you should be aware of before you become a Mangools affiliate – from how much you can earn to what other options are available for you at this time.
Mangools Affiliate Review
What is Mangools?
Mangools can be defined as an all-in-one SEO platform that enables professionals to make the most of their media properties. There are several different tools that users gain access to when they get a Mangools subscription, and they range from the already well-known KWFinder (for keyword research) and SERPChecker (for SERP Analysis) to LinkMiner (for backlink analysis) and SiteProfiler (for metrics and insights related to SEO).
There are also three free tools that people can give a shot to before they decide to invest in a monthly subscription – and they consist of a SERP simulator, a SERP volatility checker, and an SEO browser extension.
What services can you recommend to your followers?
We have already mentioned the SEO tools that Mangools developed and that the brand is including in their plans, but let’s take a look at how the pricing is designed.
First of all, there’s a difference depending on how much users are prepared to pay for their monthly subscriptions. If they opt for the monthly billing model, they’ll pay a little more whereas if they choose to pay all of the subscription for the entire year, the cost is a little more advantageous.
To make it a little easier for anyone reading this post, we’ll focus on the yearly billing model. Consequently, the Mangools Basic costs $29.90 per month (billed as a one-time payment of $358.80) and it includes up to 100 keyword lookups per day, 200 keyword suggestions per search, 200 keywords per import, 25 competitor keywords per search, and more. This plan can be used by a single person, so users can’t share it amongst each other.
The next plan is called Mangools Premium and is billed at $44.90 (it costs $538.80 per year) and it includes 500 keyword lookups per day, unlimited competitor keywords and keyword suggestions, up to 700 keywords per import, 500,000 backlink rows per month, up to 70 site lookups per day, and three seats – which means that up to three different people can use the same account at the same time. There’s even the option of users purchasing additional seats at a price of $12 per month.
The largest plan is the Mangools Agency one. This one costs $89.90 per month and is billed as a single payment of $1,078.80 per year. It includes up to 1,200 keyword lookups per day, unlimited keyword suggestions per search and unlimited competitor keywords, along with up to 1,500 keywords tracked daily, 1,200 SERP lookups, and 5 extra seats. There’s quite a few additional features with this one, so we suggest you do a bit of research on it.
Finally, we’d also like to note that there’s a 10-day free trial in place, so your referrals can actually test out the product before deciding to get a paid subscription.
The best thing about the trial is that it does not require anyone to put in their credit card information, so at the end of the period, if they feel like it’s not a good fit for them, they can just stop using the product and switch to something different. That should make your task as a Mangools affiliate a little easier, since people don’t have to commit to a purchase right away.
How to join the Mangools SEO affiliate program
First of all, you need to have a Mangools account to be able to join the program – whether it’s one that you create for the free trial to access the affiliate program or a paid one, there really is no other way of going about things.
Secondly, we would like to note that this is a self-run program, which means that you are not going to encounter it on any separate affiliate platforms, whether that be Awin, ShareASale, Impact, or anything else in the same vein.
On the one hand, this allows the company to have more control over how and when they pay their associates, what’s happening with their affiliates’ activity, and everything else they might want to know — but on the other hand, it can be a bit of a pain for a seasoned affiliate marketer who has several different niche websites and heavily relies on networks to consult their stats and performance on almost a daily basis.
The nice thing is that there is no approval process to speak of as all of the registrations are automatically approved. Naturally, there will be a manager checking your media properties and the source of your clicks and conversions after you start making money, but it’s nice that you do not have to wait for a long time to receive a reply and find out if you are eligible or not.
Once you have your free Mangools account, you go to the affiliate section to access your affiliate ID and then you can start sharing your affiliate link wherever you feel it might convert better.
In terms of restrictions, you are not allowed to share your link on any coupon or discount websites. PPC advertising is not allowed with your direct link — although you can definitely use it to promote one of your articles where you did include the Mangools affiliate link.
Any use of the brand logo or name is forbidden, especially in PPC, and for any discounts that don’t exist and that you talk about in your content, you can be booted out of the program. Needless to say, self-referrals aren’t permitted in this case, just like they are not with any other affiliate program, for that matter.
How much can you earn as a Mangools affiliate?
Since this is probably the most important thing you are interested in as a potential affiliate for Mangools, here’s what you should know — promoting any of the plans or tools by this company can earn you a commission rate of 30%.
By far the best thing about it is the fact that this is a lifetime rate, which means that you will earn the same recurring commission every time your referrals renew their subscriptions. The rate is calculated depending on whether the brand has a discount or a sale in place or not, so your commission might be lower as a result of that.
The cookie duration for this affiliate program is 30 days, which is pretty much the industry standard, so there’s no surprise there. We would have appreciated a slightly longer one, such as a validity that lasts for 60 or even 90 days, but given that the commission is a recurring one, we’d say that the program is still worth writing home about.
Payment methods and thresholds
Because the program is self-managed, here’s where things can get a little tricky for some affiliates. The only payment method available is PayPal, which means that if you are based in a country where PayPal is not supported, there’s no point in you trying to become an affiliate at all.
At the same time, this is a payment system that has been getting quite a bit of backlash for deactivating accounts for no apparent reason, which has of course led to a lot of individuals proposing alternative payment methods.
As for the threshold, you need to earn at least $150 before being able to be paid through PayPal. What does seem to be relevant and we would like to note here is that you need to refer at least two different users in order for the payment to be possible – just to rule out the possibility that you have self-referred yourself and got a paid subscription.
In terms of marketing, you do not have to worry about a single thing as there are both static and dynamic affiliate banners that can be found in the Promo materials section.
Pros and cons to being a Mangools affiliate
Almost any affiliate program that we have reviewed in the past comes with both benefits and drawbacks, and before associating your name with any brand, it’s a good idea to make a list of all of them.
In this case, it seems that the pros are outweighing the cons — the commission rate is one of the best reasons to become a Mangools affiliate. The tools themselves are very effective (we’ve tried them in the past and they seem to be doing a pretty good job at what they are supposed to), so you’re not going to be recommending something shady to your followers.
On average, if you get a decent amount of traffic or you have the right type of audience, you can make at least $500 per month with this affiliate program. Since you’re not going to be putting all of your eggs in one basket and it’s likely for you to be utilizing other opportunities to monetize your content, we’d say that these earnings are decent.
On the downside, we would have liked one or two extra payment methods besides PayPal. The $150 threshold could be a little restrictive for an affiliate who’s starting out their journey, but it’s still not ridiculously high.
The rest of the rules you need to abide by are definitely something that we have seen in other affiliate programs, so there’s no surprise there.
Should you join the Mangools affiliate program?
All clues seem to be pointing to ‘Yes’ as an answer to this question. If you feel like the Mangools pricing wouldn’t resonate with your audience, you should take a look at the section below and find a Mangools alternative that might suit it better, but we still think that it makes sense for you to at least consider becoming an affiliate for this program.
Mangools Affiliate Program Alternatives
SEMRush
This is one of the best alternatives you have at your disposal because the commission is more than decent. You get $200 for every new signup and even $10 for every new trial.
Plus, SEMRush has been around for quite a while now and it’s one of the most popular SEO tools out there, used by professionals and newbie marketers alike. The program is now managed by Impact, one of the largest networks currently available, which is where you are supposed to sign up, too.
SE Ranking
SE Ranking pays its affiliates through WebMoney or PayPal when you reach a threshold of just $50, so three times lower than the threshold of the Mangools affiliate program.
As for what you can expect to earn with this one, it’s the same 30% recurring commission that you can get with Mangools and other alternatives we’ve described here. While the payout happens twice a month, you will need to wait for 30 days to make sure that your commissions are checked by a manager.
NinjaOutreach
We recently created a review of the NinjaOutreach program, so if you have some time, we suggest you give it a read here. As a NinjaOutreach affiliate, you make 20% out of the value of every purchase made through your affiliate link — but this is a lifetime commission.
The minimum payout threshold is $100 and the only payment method you can use is PayPal.
AccuRanker
If a 20% recurring commission sounds good to you, becoming an AccuRanker affiliate might make sense, keeping in mind that this is a company that many world-known brands (including McDonald’s and Ikea) have worked with before.
The best thing about it is that the cookie lasts for 120 days instead of the 30 days that we are now used to with other options. As for the way payments are sent, AccuRanker uses PayPal much like any other brand that manages their own program. The threshold is $100.

LongTailPro
This one is very similar to what you can expect if you are joining the Mangools affiliate program in that as a LongTailPro affiliate, you can make 30% in recurring rates for the entire lifetime of your referrals’ subscriptions.
The nice thing about the LongTailPro program is that you can join it through three different networks — ShareASale, CJ Affiliate, or Post Affiliate Pro, depending on whichever one you seem to use more frequently.
